Over 20 years of 480 driving and still loving it! Present one is a Burgandy 480 GT 1994 108K miles and LPG converted and fitted with Tracker so it does not get 'nicked' again!

Front discs for the 400's are really cheap.
As suggested, partsforvolvosonline do Mintex discs for £30 a pair (solid). Unfortunately, their postage is always steep unless you are buying a great hoard of stuff.
I believe Eurocarparts may have just gone in to administration.
GSF car parts list them as £19.75, but this doesn't include VAT and doesn't say if it is for a pair or not. On the plus side, you may have a GSF near to you so you can save on postage.
I would try calling a local recommended motor factors to see if they can help. Where I live, there is a small chain called PCS Car Spares. They are not the very cheapest around, but the always seem to help me find the right item when others can't and give good advice. Plus, if you tell them what you are looking for (or can even take an old item in) and they get it wrong, you can take it back without suffering postage.
