pressure regulating valve

hi, does my car have a pressure regulating valve its an 89 turbo has abs but cant seem to find this valve or is it on non abs 480's ,i have stripped down the rear brakes completely and see nothing , the haynes doesnt mention what car this applies to :? help needed.,.,.,.,.,kev

Erm, I have it on passenger side (LHD) or the gasoline fill side :). It isn't on the brake itself, but look where the brakehose goes from that side. It is attached right next to the gasoline hose and the panhard rod is connected to it. The panhard rod adjusts the pressure. If I'm thinking the same valve... :)

hi and thanks for replying,i still see nothing :? maybe i dont have one ,the haynes manual shows me nothing ,might see if i can get to look at another 480 ,.,.,cheers kev ;)

The regulating valves for the brakes is on the rear of the car if it's an early one that has load dependant rear brakes. There is a link to the axle with those as well.

Other than that the valve can be on the master cylinder, or anywhere along the brake lines.

thanks rich, it is an early car so i am quite sure there's no valve on rear and nothing to the description from haynes so maybe further forward on brake lines,.,,.thanks' kev
