Was just turning up my MBC for fun, going down my private road at 100 odd, saw a turning coming up i thought i'd pull in and make adjustments... Braked quite hard and wasn't stopping! Dont think i realised how fast i has going or how hard i was trying to brake. They hardly worked on the drive home and then they did again. Is this brake fade? They seem fine now but from what i understand my brake fluid may now have a lower boiling point due to moisture absorbtion?
Anyway, now i know the limits of my brakes!
Smelt real nice.

Cooked my brakes the other day!

Yep, if the fluid is more than two years old it will contain a high percentage of water, you more than likely boiled the fluid, so the limit of your brakes will be reduced for next time.
I would drain and completely rebleed them, whats it gonna cost you a tenner at the most?
