Changing gear, delay (sort of)

Both manual and automatic transmission are discussed here, including the clutch!

Changing gear, delay (sort of)

Post by Big Brother » Sun Jan 08, 2006 7:20 pm

When I have my foot in a certain position on the accelerator the revs go slightly high for a split second and then the auto box thuds into 4th gear. If I increase the reves it changes fine, its just when I’m cruising that this happens and has only happened a couple of times. Just wandering why it is doing this

Cheers

What colour is your ATF Ad?

If its any colour other than pinky red then change it and put Lubegard in with it.You can get that off ebay.

The thud is something I get on mine, not so much now I changed the front gearbox mount though.£90 + VAT :(

If it has the overhauled box in from memory, get it checked out if you are sure its box related or Stu may help???
