Clutch

Post by dave » Wed Sep 14, 2005 4:06 pm

Ok spent a litlle more time on stripping my engine for the rebuilt before it goes in my clio. Took the clutch and flywheel off with no real problems but the standard clutch seems really small how do these handle big power?

Any info on this would be great.

Cheers Dave

Mines got the early clutch and its handling the 170 BHP no bother. i think its not so happy with the 200 BHP mod though.

Mines should only be running 170, but the possiabilty of running more at a later date. Would i be better putting an uprated clutch in to start with?

If so what one woul dbe best and what kind of price are we looking at?

you might be better using the later type flywheel and clutch then, you'll have to get the ecu from the car you get the flywheel from other wise it wont run!

Probably by contacting rpruen about his mod for turbo engines.
Send him a pm and I'm sure he'll be able to advise you.

yeahs rpruen can mod your turbo up to about 220 BHP but you need bigger injectors and MAF mods and other stuff too!

220bhp sounds nice. T25 yes? What are the injectors from the 2.0t?

I would like some decent power from mine about 170bhp should be enough in a car that weighs in at 900kg.
