Converting to manual transmission soon!
Hahaaa! There Iam posting about Autos being okay one week, then the next Im going for the manual jobbie instead!!!!!
Bottom line is,I've always liked this 480 and have hoped for the 200,00 mile figure to one day appear on it's speedo.
So,I'm slowly gathering the parts through the Club network which is so far proving marvellous!!!
I have a subframe soon and hopefully a good 5 speed box!Lovely!
Theres only 1 chappie for the job and that will be Mr.1.Roll of Somerset I think. This will obviously depend upon time, money etc etc....
This car cost me a silly forecourt price to start with, which I bit the bullet and accepted as she was as new with only 34,000 on the clock!!!!!
So,before I oneday find out the hard way that my Auto box is dead mid-motorway or whatever,it will be manualis trasmissione soon!
Cant wait, then the Pruen mod will realy make her rock!
Hahaaa!

Hello chaps!
Well Ed,about October/November time really as I have a few more parts to get hold of and obviously will be a matter of when you guys are free, and I'll need to get your money together too.
So,a rough idea of yours and Chris's costs and a good time for you is gonna be helpful to all parties.I wish I could do it now as I too have yet another dying starter motor Chris !!!!!!! Doing it with engine out would be very pleasing!

I can come give a hand/hold stuff/ etc aswell if wanted as I am just down the road. I am also interested in the conversion as I may or may not be aqquiring an automatic 480 for my girlfriend and will probably need the box changed at some point if she doesnt like it.

Info
No nothing sinister i have the chance of a good91 turbo auto the engine is superb so is the body fsh 100k, but the auto box is pretty knackered and im thinking of doing the conversion instead of replacing it with another auto. So it would be interested to see it being done before i decide wether to tackle it myself. Hope fully you will see the collection at lincoln if you are going Steve i am planning on taking her.
