Clutch cable help need

Post by Turbo ZZZ » Mon Sep 22, 2003 7:29 pm

I tried to fit the cable but anithing goes wrong.
In the haynes manual says that the cable dumper must be fitted for turbos ...but WHERE to fit it?...inside the car or in the bulkhead opening?...and by the way the end of the cable goes freely throug the opening in the bulkhead...is that normal?
Please help 'cause i'm in total darkness
Just a wreck...Red Turbo 1990, w/Air Con

Hi ZZZ
After I had taken a good look in the pedals region under the dashboard
I decided that I must be made from rubber or at least have rubberarms
to be able to mount the clutchcable.
So I decided that I let Volvo do it.
And by the way Volvo changed the clutchcables during the years.
So it could be a question if you have the right cable.
If you are doing it yourself is my advice take pictures before you diconnect teh old cable and take pictures from every step you are doing.
So that you can take a look at how it was mounted.
Good luck
