Hi to all..I found a webpage describing a Volvo 480 2 lt late 95 model. The gearbox type was the M60 one...I thought the latest box for the 480 was the M59 one....
does anybody have any idea of the ratios of the M60??
I was trying to get information by the local volvo dealer but as always he didnt have a clue.....

sorry, when you said you thought that the M59 box was the latest one, my donor car (90 H plate) has a M59 on it. so I was wondering if that means it has a later uprated gearbox fitted, but then thought I didn't want to start talking about my car in your thread
Anyhoo, i've done it now.... so is it original?

Dont know...I sent him an e mail asking the same, but he has not replied back.......... M60 must be one of the latest gearboxes for the 480...never heard of it before....Anyway I searched and found out that the gran pinion is the same ratio, 373, so it must be an enforced (strengthen one) M59....
