Difference between driveshafts

Post by suddy » Mon Jan 29, 2018 10:11 am

Hello -

Please could someone tell me the difference between the 1.7 driveshaft and the 2.0/Turbo driveshaft?

I am taking about the left side, with the spider joint that goes directly into the gearbox.

The parts manual lists two part numbers
9031180 -- exc b20f/turbo
9031181 -- b20f/turbo

The parts manual lists also a separate CV joint for the above derivatives

Is it only the CV joint? Is there a difference in length?

Thanks
Stephen

Hi Suddy,

my only experience with this is comparing a non ABS shaft from a 1.7 non turbo to an ABS shaft from a 1.7 turbo, the ABS/ turbo shaft was around 5mm longer from memory
