Thinking about changing my gearbox to a manual

Both manual and automatic transmission are discussed here, including the clutch!

Thinking about changing my gearbox to a manual

Post by koiman » Mon May 02, 2011 1:55 pm

Hello all

I am considering changing my auto gearbox to a manual box.

Does anybody know how difficult this is and does anyone have a 2.0 manual box with all the bits for sale or where is the best place to get one?

It is for my 1995 2.0 celebration, which I bought 3rd hand so didn't have choice that it was an automatic and I miss my manual gearbox!

Any help and advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Keith

Hello again.

I have just been offered a 2.0 box from a GT at a good price, am I right in saying this will fit on my engine?

Thanks

Check if the engine mounts and drive shaft on the near side are the same.

Thanks for all your help.

But I think I am going to leave as is and get the car painted instead as she needs it.
