Clutch sqeak

i seem to get a fairly quiet but still audible sqeak coming from the engine bay when i push in the clutch. it doesnt matter if its in gear or not and it sqeaks as long as i hold the pedal in. the clutch isnt that old and it doesnt slip at all.
does this sound like a precursor to something serious?

is it the thrust bearing?

sounds like the thrust bearing. Did they replace it when they did the clutch? They really should have done. It isnt included in the volvo kit

I had to buy it separately for the 740.

dunno,last owner had it done in a volvo garage.
should i keep driving till it fails? what will happen when it does?
at the moment it is only intermittent,it hasnt squeaked at all today!
