Clutch Pedal Adjust

Post by petrolhead63 » Sun Nov 22, 2009 4:09 pm

The clutch pedal on my 1.7S (L reg) is about 2 iches higher than the brake. I think it looks like the cable can be adjusted to correct this and I know the last owner had a new clutch not many miles ago.

Can I adjust tjhe cable to do this? or is it another issue lurking. The clutch has good bight and is progessive.

you can adjust the clutch cable either a max of 30 mm or 22mm depending on type . The adjustment is at the gearbox end and is obvious.

happy twiddling

As i have to work on this issue the next days, too, i just wanted to throw some information in:

with ABS System the Clutch pedal should be 25-30mm higher than the Brake pedal.
without ABS it only has to be 15-20mm higher.

thats what volvo says in its books.
