CV boots

Post by Frazz » Wed Nov 11, 2009 1:05 pm

i recently did an oil change on my 480 2ltr and i noticed that both CV boots are split (on the hub side) :'(
i guess the stress of me swaping the engine over was just too much for them.

ive never changed the CV boot on the hub before, how hard is it and does anyone have a good walk through?

i considered getting a garage to do it but they have quoted £280 :o, considering i brought the car for 300 if doesnt seem worth it.

any help would be great!
thanks

my landlord had one split and told me you can buy them in two halfs and they glue together. makes it much easier nothing to take apart. i had my boubts but he said it sticks like shit to a blanket.
