Post by V480TI » Sun May 10, 2009 6:29 am

Hmm, changing clutch but didn't pay attention.

On the clutch plate there is the text ::: Volvo FW side.
To wich side should this text point ?? to the gearbox or to the engine ???

oww shit................   :cryhard: :cryhard:

Well , learned a new thing here.
Gotta take everything back out tomorrow and put back in again.......

Another issue :: put a new clutch cable on but the clutch pedal sits on the floor.....
I Just used a new clutch cable I had lying around.
Did Volvo make clutch cables with different lengths ???

thanks and greetz

I think there are two kinds of clutch levers. Don't remember if there was different lengths on the clutch cables.

Id say that because you have put the clutch in the wrong way there is no pressure on the plate there for the clucth are is at its max travel, casuing your pedal to hit the floor..

Seen it before many times in my trade as a mechanic, it all needs to come out mate im affraid fw is deffo flywheel side..
Sorry.. :badmood:
