M56 Gearbox - what is the equivalent Renault one?

Trying to find the equivalent for the M56 gearbox from renault. Is it the JB3 or JC5?

The reason i am asking this is because i am looking for proper gearbox oil, the thing is that Volvo sells 3.4 liters and Renault sells by the liter.

If it is a JC5 it will take 3.1 and if it is a JB3 it will take 3.4.

How many liters will i need for the M56 Gearbox?

Every type of manual gearbox from the 400 series has an oil capacity of 3.4L.

Got myself 3 liters of TransELF NFJ which is the replacement for the old TRJ for Jxx Gearboxes, let's hope 3 liter are enough for now!

This thing is expensive, got it at a Renault delaer at Ã¢â€šÂ¬21.24 per liter!

don't take the risk with your 3.0 litre.
Buy another liter.

Bought yesterday Volvo gear oil.
Cost me 53 Euro for 3.4 litre with 10 % discount.
