I'm considering getting a modified ECU. But I have a M54 gearbox ('89 Turbo). All search results on 'M54' turned out about it being the weaker turbo box which was replaced with the M59 later.
My gearbox still workes fine after 256k km. But what will happen when it has to deal with the extra power? Will I kill it very quickly? Didn't find anything about richmod and M54 gearboxes.

I had a m54 gearbox on a 200k miles running a MrSweden chip and it finally blew the diff at 200k

Do you mean that you've run 200k miles with the chip you mentioned? Or was it just several 10k miles before the diff blew that you installed that chip?
Maybe I just have to search, but does a MrSweden chip give the same horsepower and torque as one modified by Rich?
