right time for a new clutch the rich modd has at last killed it. is there a more heavy duty clutch kit on the market?all advice is looked forward to? :shock:

Paul, there's a lot already written on this if you trawl the archives....
A genuine Volvo clutch is stronger than a lot of others.

Techniclutch may offer an uprated one- they did advertise them on Ebay a year or so ago. They could probably still sort one out for you.

But with a normal Rich mod, a standard genuine Volvo one will be fine.

well thanks every one got my car back with a new volvo clutch fitted saturday morning and what a change i hade the lower arm bushes changed as well and now i can feel the full benifits of the rich mod :rofl:
the bushes cost me £68 from volvo and the garage charged me £270 for the clutch (fitted) not sure if thats a good price or not but what a change.
let me know if the price's are good or not.
might think about dropping it some next not sure how much any advice!

I bought a pressure plate alone from Volvo last week and that was £98+VAT, so with the friction plate, and labour, I wouldn't have thought that too bad at all!

DON'T Fook about get your clutch and take a friction resurfacing company average price for racing compound and 1mm thicker if you want is approx £30 and getting the spring uprated and reconned is about £50.

i told them on here this years ago but some people don't have the balls to spend £25 like i did and had 30,000 hard throttle milage before i scrapped the car.
