Millers TRX 75w 90 is good and safe- you have to make sure whatever you use meets the spec otherwise you can kiss your bronze components and box goodbye.
Otherwise the official Volvo stuff will do.
There are bound to be others that meet the GL5 spec but that's research for another day....

i contacted the Maltese distributor for millers oils and he told me that the Millers TRX 75w 90 he has is a semi synthetic oil.
I am not really sure but is it equally good , or it will damage my manual tranny?

Manual gearbox.......
GL-4 good - Redline MTL works well.
GL-5 BAD - Additives in GL-5 corrode bronze/yellow metals such as syncros and will damage your box fairly quickly. Damage to your wallet will follow shortly after.

Erm, not according to Volvo specs.

Perhaps not all GL-5 spec oils contain the same additives. I spoke to a guy at Miller's Oil and he said their oils are safe for bronze components, as the modern additives they use don't have this problem.
