Bahnstorming... CV Joint leak.

Hi all,

I'm almost certain that the extra stress of the Autobahns has caused this, but my ns outer CV joint is now spewing its guts onto the inside of my wheel. Obviously I have to get it sorted tout suite, and it isn't something I'm prepared to DIY. Has anyone had this job done recently and if so, what was the cost?

never done it but can't be that hard. I just removed the drive sharfts on vader without stress.

Brasco Its incredibly simple took me about 40 mins to replace mine. If you want more info let me know and i will talk you through it.

An outer boot was about a Â£10 including grease and clips

I actually removed the left hand side driveshaft few days ago. I then tried to remove the right hand side which has cotter bolt(lock pin, bolt pin, what ever you call it). I tried to remove it, ending up with 2 broken metal pins in it - with the bolts still on place. I then tried to drill trough it ending up with 1 broken drill bit in it.

Anyone has a pic of that cotter bolt out of its socket?
