venting fan problems

Post by 480rule » Sun Nov 09, 2003 7:54 pm

Wondering if this is normal. In my 95`480 Turbo I can`t turn of the ventingfan. The wheel on the dashboard doesn`t go down to zero (0). There are no gradings called 0 either, only four markings. I see that other cars have a 0-marking in addition to the four markings, checked the interior-picture in the 95`-catalog. I have tried to turn of the fan by turning the wheel harder and past the markings but it doesn`t seem to be possible to do without breaking the wheel. Anybody having the same experience?

mine goes to 0, but does not have air con. On a friends car of the same year with air con, it doesn't have a 0 setting. Possibly the same on other vacuum operated systems without air con. Bit strange, but just the way it is i think..

Hello, Welcome to the club. Bad news you can't turn the fan off! I have a 93 turbo and knob does not allow it to be off.
