Wipers Run when door opened

Just gone to my 1993 480 in the my garage and opened the door and the front wipers started to run. Only way to stop them eas to disconnect the motor which made the rear wiper run intermittently. Car will not start as battery seems to drain quickly also.

Have put it on charge and when I reconnect it I get a click from the C E M area.

Any idea please, car was running alright last time it was put in garage a few days ago.

can't say 100% but when similar happened to mine, the fault was fixed by swapping out the wiper switch on column, after I'd pulled the control box
I was lucky and had a spare kicking around so didn't investigate why it was 'dicky', might even have been a plug/unplug fix (maybe)

I will take switch out and put it back to see if that helps, might have to see if I can find another one to purchase.

Does anyone have a wiper stalk reference 402177 they are happy to sell, so I can get the car back on the road please.

Just a further note on this, I have today removed the switch and reconnected the battery, there is s click coming from the C E M every 10-12 seconds, does anyone know what this could be please, if I remove fuse 9 this stops.

If it is the C E M does anyone know some that can look at it please?

Bit more information in case someone can help, found out today that when I open and close the door, the wipers run until the interior light goes off, the wipers then stop in what ever position they are at.

I assume it is something to do with the CEM, if this is the case is there anyone that can look at my CEM to see if it can be saved.

Sometimes the relays inside the CEM have gremlins, the indicators relay has this bad reputation.

The relay clicks with the wiper comodo removed?

The clicking had happened, it was a poor connection at the CEM plugs. Unplug it and spray some contact cleaner on the pins, and replug it.
