I now know 100% it is the light switch that is the problem, now i just have to find a way to fix it.

Have you trying pulling it apart and cleaning the internal contacts? It's quite a straight forward thing to do

if you look in the Old FAQ's under electrical system /Lights / Install Daylight running lights, there's some pictures of the light switch in pieces that may help?

Side issue: Hi, Jeff, I’ve just followed your link to the old FAQs - I was keen to see the internal workings of the main light switch - but, although I can see the headings and sub-heading text, I can’t see the pics/diagrams you mention. Have they gone missing or could that be a problem my end?

If you follow the link, then click (in the Left hand menu)
Electrical System (30)
Lights
Install daytime running lights

On the rh side should be all the info

I managed to get the lights working, whas not the switch that whas the problem but now i have a spare switch atleast, it whas a cable that whas the problem.
