Volvo 480 Club Europe

A friend has problems with the starter switch on his 480. And even on my 480, I sometimes have to turn the key very hard to the start position. How to remove this part from ignition lock?

So if i understand correctly it is only necessary to remove the grubb screw to remove the switch from left side (LHD)? Without drilling and removing the barrel lock?
