Heater blower

Post by ormolu » Sun Dec 04, 2016 2:32 pm

Just a simple question. My heater blower switch has 4 positions. Is the first position 'off', or should there be 4 speeds?

There are two versions of the heater blower switch.
One that has a "0" setting (i.e. blower off) and four speeds, and one that has only four speeds and no "0".
The reason your car doesn't have a blower with a "0" position, is that your car is equipped with air conditioning. There needs to be a continuous air flow, otherwise the aircon system may freeze up.
