One-speed blower

Post by amazontommy » Sat Oct 22, 2016 2:01 pm

My blower only works at one speed, no:3 position.
Where should I start looking?
(It's a -88 Turbo)

it could be the fuse, from memory the FULL speed supply is from a different fuse from the others! (no idea why . . . . . . , maybe not even fused on max chat? )

other than that the big resistor (buried in air flow? ) will be U/S. it looks like a tripod sort of thingy

fuse easiest? ;)

I would replace the speed selector and move from there.

I think the max speed different fuse is for security measure. In case the fuse falls you can still demist the windscreen.

2 places to check

1 the speed selector

2 the three wire resistors

You are in luck I have just looked through the last of my spares and have found the wirewound resistor part and you can have it free just need to cover the cost of postage which is about £3 (uk postage). If you want the part then pm me otherwise post up here that you don't need it so I can offer it to someone else.
