Rev counter - Square Wave?

From CEM to VEM, from LED to lightbulb and more. If you have an electrical problem, like a broken info-centre, search for answers in this category. This is also the place to be when you expect the problem to be of an electrical nature...

Rev counter - Square Wave?

Post by suddy » Fri Jul 03, 2015 9:24 am

Hi All,

I've got some problems with my rev counter, so I've removed it, and I'd like to test it.

So, I *think* that accepts square-wave source, but I am looking for some more details - Voltage p-p and frequency range...

I've actually got different one in the car at the moment, but the dial face is the old-style font, might be easier to remove the needle - but can't see how without breaking it!

Kind Regards
Stephen

Fingers (wash first!) under the complete needle, pull and at the same time turn anti clockwise. Ignore the protest, be brave.
