Doesn't look original to me.

Could be something to do with your aftermarket immobilizer.

Hammers can't fix a 480!!!

noticed a little 12v buzzer attached to one of the cables aswell

more googling confirms , Vecta Immobilizer,,, not a small job to remove i'd imagine

Not that bad a job just remove the brains and then work slowly through the rest of the system.
