Hi all,
i bought my 480 last week knowing it had a problem with the sunroof. The dealer told me it had had a wire cut to prevent it being opened as once open it wouldn't close again.
Not having a sunroof didnt bother me & there's no damp in the car so it isn't leaking.
Today for the first time,i took it up to the speed limit & the wind noise from the sunroof was terrible.
My questions are...Are they known for a lot of wind noise? Also where under the bonnet would i be looking for a cut sunroof wire?.
Any help/advice much appreciated.
Simon.

Re: Sunroof problems
no there is not a lot of wind noise. if he has cut a wire damn it could be a bit of a job sorting this one out.
First thing to do is check your fuse box as the easiest way is to remove a fuse .
Then the next step is trace where the wires come down to meet the loom from the motor which is directly behind the switch as he will have almost certainly cut it at this point.
Go to the how to section of the forum and look up parts you dont see thread and you will find a picture of the motor for the sunfroof with the roof lining removed.
Oh if your looking under the bonnet your are looking in the wrong place

Re: Sunroof problems
just in case you have misread the last post I mean where the wire joins the loom under the dashboard at one side.
