Clicking sound from boot area when braking?

I've noticed a clicking (switch) sound coming from the back, internally when I brake.. It's just started all of a sudden. Rear lights are working fine.. Any ideas?

check the spare wheel has not come loose or slack in its holder.

if its an older car pre or possibly 92 model and has the abs controller in the boot ns rear cubby check in case its that.

It's an electronic clicking sound, like a switch going on and off when I break.. is it the brake lights?

Theres a small redish/pink box with "lamp control unit" written on it behind the left hand side trim in the boot (near to where the electric aerial is) I'm not sure if this contains switches/relays? perhaps its faulty.

Does it make the noise even if you brake when the cars not actually moving? If so get someone else to operate the brake while you look in the boot and see if you can trace it that way.
