wiring a gauge pod

From CEM to VEM, from LED to lightbulb and more. If you have an electrical problem, like a broken info-centre, search for answers in this category. This is also the place to be when you expect the problem to be of an electrical nature...

wiring a gauge pod

Post by nick_ovlov » Fri Apr 20, 2012 2:25 pm

just aquired a gauge pod for my car:

just pushed it in just now as it already looks better than the useless tray that was there

this is the plug that came with it

what do i wire what to- also i assume the power to give the battery gauge a reading powers the illumination? does the car already have a oil pressure sensor or is that something ill need to get?

search behind the tray you removed the wiring loom is already there it will be a three or four wire plug been some time since i installed mine
voltage will work straight away oil pressure will need a sender unit installed instead of the oil pressure switch

Best bet is to find a turbo thats being broken as the sender for the turbo engine is the same (its just to the 7 O'clock position realative to the oil filter)
