Weird Wires
I have some doubts about some wires and i would like that someone could explain me this:
-my 89 turbo has 3 loose wires on the plug of the ecu(the one on the passenger side/left drive).these wires are yellow/red and yellow/? and the 3rd wire is brown i think...
The 2 yellow wires have a male plug and the brown has a female plug.
My question is what r they for????
My next doubt was in another post but noone answered and goes like this:
My airmass meter has 6 pins on the connector but i have 7 wires and found that one is disconnected.this wire is ground connected and on the connector i have 2 ground wires.Should i connect this loose wire to one of the 2 ground wires on the connector? If so wich one?
PS:whats suppost to happen when u disconnect the airmeter plug?
I think mine is broken but the resistance values r good.Is there another way to check it?
I would be most grateful if someone could help me...

Re: Weird Wires
When you unplug the electrical connection, the car should stutter, as if it was going to stall, but then recover, but then run a little rougher.V480t wrote:

With the connection in place, undo the air hose behind the meter (i.e. the side closest to the cabin, not the airbox side) - with the electreical connection in place, the car should stall as soon as you open the air pipe. With the connection removed, you should be able to open the air pipe without a stall - this might help your diagnosis.

Its being difficult to find an used airmass meter. Are there any other cars that use the same airmass meter(apart from 440/460)?
New ones at Volvo are really very expensive
And the problem is that i´m not even sure if that´s the problem.Yet.
It´s all about the cold start and loss of power running on petrol. If i drive lpg the cold start is the only problem(i have to wait until the engine is warm with my foot on the pedal).
What if i buy that part at Bosch? Are they cheaper there?Or do they even sell it?
I want my car to get painted but i won´t until it´s all mechanically perfect.
