Bonnet wiring

Post by aj_cheesy » Wed Mar 09, 2011 4:44 pm

Just a quick one...

Can anyone tell me where the two connectors off either side of the rear of my bonnet connect to? Its been a while and I cant remember where they attach. Its a 2.0l celebration.

Many Thanks,

Alex.

The connectors are there to discharge built up static electricity in the plastic bonnet. They are connected to the carrosserie with a screw just behind the hinges.

Thanks Iroll480,

Are those the screws located through the plastic trim between the top of the wheel arch and the windscreen, just behind the bonnet hinges?

I know this might sound a little too fussy... but do they pass on the inside or the outside of the hinge?

Regretting leaving my 480 project for 3 years now and forgetting how I took it apart :? ... but she'll be back on the road soon though :D

The screws go through the corner of the plastic parts into the metal, I think they were of the self-threading kind.
They are located right behind the hinges next to the windscreen on the lowered edge of the plastic trim surrounding the wipers.
