Foot well lights.

Post by Rachel » Thu Jan 13, 2011 3:18 pm

Hello.

Recently found the Turbo has foot well lights fitted but are not wired in yet. I know they should be wired in to the other interior lights, but could some one point in the right direction as to where I will find the correct wires??

Cheers. :D

According to my information footwell lights was only in the first cars. Interior lights are controlled by the CEM. So, you can steal voltage from the neighborhood of CEM. From the relay box for example. Or from the light placed on the roof.

Cheers mate....I want them to be on the interior light so they fade out after shutting the door. I just need to know where the wire comes down from the interior light in the roof, where it goes and how to identify it so I can wire them in (both sides)

I soldered them in on the lightning wires from the contactlock. No need for extra wiring, you don't have to find out which wire is which and they fade with the other interior lights.

I mean the green lightend cirkel around the ignitionlock. Remove the plastic cover from under the steering wheel to get at the wires.

Ah! now I know.... I'll replace the bulb for the ignition ring while I'm there also as it doesn't light up. :D

Thanks for your help.

Hey Rachel,

Did you ever do this?

And do they fade properly like the dome light does when hooked up to the ignition ring light?
