How do you manually 'pop' up?

my right hand pop up has decided it doesn't want to pop up (left one works fine) i want to try and manually pop it up to check if the motor has seized. checking varius posts on here they all talk about turning a white wheel. I can't see one anywhere on either side, not sure if i'm being thick, looking in the wrong place or they're missing. can anyone post a pic of this elusive white wheel or give specific locations?

cheers :?

behind the popup lights, in the engine bay, under or near the big circular connector. they trun grey or brown when old. sometimes are hard to get to.

The right one is usually easier to access than the left one, there's something blocking it (I forget what) so you're lucky in that respect. Mine are always black from oil and dirt so I had the same problem the first time my lights went wrong looking for the 'white' wheel...
