Bonnet switches + pop-up help

Hello, i've finally got time to try and fix my pop-ups so am going to check the bonnet switches before i buy a new relay. i just can't find them or even any reference in my haynes manual. please help - i understand i have to short the switches out?

Other info on the pop-ups i have:

When i take the relay out and short it the left pop up pops up.

When i bought it i manually wound the lights up and when i put the bonnet down the lights went down. not sure if that indicates anything - i guess it means that the bonnet switches might work.

Any help greatly appreciated. I'm new to the 480 world (got a '92 Red 480 1.7 ES) and am loving my car, just a few minor problems to iron out...

You can see the switch if you look in the hole from the bonnetcatch. You can lower the pop ups with the bonnet open if you put a big screwdriver (or something simular) in this hole to activate the switch.

If your bonnet switch thinks it is open, you will get a door open warning on the dash.

I think maybe the switch has gone then. When the bonnet is up and the pop ups are up (manually), they don't do anything when i activate the switch with a screwdriver as Iroll480 suggested. is this correct?

took the car to Goodwins Auto Electrics in hall green Birmingham and they've sorted it. the owner before had chopped at the electrics in a crap attempt to fix the lights, the left light was shorting and he'd bypassed the bonnet switch to try and fix it. apparently.

still need a near side headlight lift motor if anyone has one...

If I recall correctly, it doesn't matter what side the motor is from, both fit to both sides

i have a pair of head light in blue

if u need them both worked fine be for i busted the car

Yep I can confirm that either pop up motor will do! lol
