Can anyone tell me (in detail) the part number and type of bulb I need for daylight running lamps. I know there is some problem if you get the wrong ones so I want to be sure. Thanks guys. :?

You'll need the 21/4watt bulbs for the drl. (NOT the 21/5watt.) You can get them at any automotive store.

Thanks for that info. Does anyone know the part number. I'm sure I read somewhere about some problem with the pins on the bulb.
By the way, sorry for the capital letters in the post topic. I wasn't shouting, honestly, although this damn car is enough to make anyone shout!! ;)

If in doubt go to dealership, then if they get the wrong bulbs ordered in, they will have to sort it! I dont believe they are any more expensive than an automotive store, and they are more likely to get it right, judging by some of the numpties in our local Halfords lol! (no disrespect to anyone who works in halfords, just to the numpty i dealt with yesterday lol! ;) )

The lucas part number is 566 - any automotive shop will know what you mean - in fact halfords part numbers are the same, theirs will be HB566

Also note that the little booklet thing they have in halfords is wrong!

Thanks for all your help. The job is now done and working normally.
For those interested, the bulbs are Halford HBU566 at £1.85 each. Thanks again. Happy New Year. :)

First thing is the 21/5 ruin the fitting because you have to force them in. The pins on the side are mirrored in those while the 21/4 pins are offset. Another problem caused by this is that you can fit them the wrong way round, the original ones will fit only the right way. They can cause all kind of problems, like popups not working.
