Hi all i was wondering if anyone could tell me what the common causes are for the rev counter to stop working one minute it'll be working fine the next it'll just drop to zero if you switch the ignition off then on again it works fine any ideas please anyone ? Thanks in advance

You should clean the crank sensor maybe. Lots of guides on it!
And check it's resistance, it should be 220 ohm +/- 20
