Imobiliser problems

Ok my 440 t has a TOAD Cat1 alarm and imobiliser fitted, but it's faulty (or appears to be to me any way!).

Had this happen a couple of times now, i try to start the car but the starter wont turn! (just like the inhibtor switch if i left it in gear) leave the car to "arm" the imobilser and try to start and again fails (good it's meant to do that!) i then "disarm" the imobiliser and Bobs your uncle away it goes first time!

Im guessing the start inhibitor part of the toad is faulty but wouldnt mind some input from you guys!
