Problems with my electric windows.

Post by sr480t » Mon Jun 23, 2008 8:50 pm

My dad was driving my 480 turbo (probably racing it and asking people for races) and opened the window and it dropped. So when i got home we took the door apart and all i can see is the cable has come off one of the pulleys and the end of the cable with the spring on it is hanging loose. Where does the end go? Also i found a white clip in the bottom of the door and ideas where it goes? Thanks Shamir.

getting this one back in the picture --> getting a complete new one is no longer an option (OEM).
Any alternatives (besides breakers / 2nd hand)?

You can get pattern ones, e.g. http://www.partsforvolvosonline.com/pro ... ts_id=3099, but really there's nothing wrong with used ones aside from a slightly shorter lifespan. There was a used one on eBay last week that failed to sell, http://www.volvo-480-europe.org/forum/v ... =8&t=33421 -- maybe worth PMing the seller?
