If you use the numberplate lights that fit in the inner edges of the rear lamp clusters from a late model 340/360 (assuming you can find one in a scrappy...) the bulb-holders are exactly the right fit for the "bulb-holders" in the side reflectors.
I then wired mine off the wires for the outer rear lights (wiring diagrams on this site let you identify the correct ones) with earth back to the end light unit bolts. They work very well!
