Ignition noise when listening to in-car wireless.

It sounds like spark plug rapid crackling rather than alternator whine.

Goes away when I switch of the engine.

Do those in-line suppressors actually work?

I thinking its the rotor arm maybe? I have another coil which I might try after tea.

Anyone else had this?

Hi Suddy!

Yes mate surpressors do work well.

Its been a little while since I had a 480 now (or it feels like it!) but I seem to remember that the earth strap from dizzy to bulkhead can cause noise.

Slap me like a big dithering apeth if Im wrong! :D
