No heating rearwindow!

From CEM to VEM, from LED to lightbulb and more. If you have an electrical problem, like a broken info-centre, search for answers in this category. This is also the place to be when you expect the problem to be of an electrical nature...

he he, if i had the time, i would.
At present its a mad rush. wanted to build my race car on my week off, instead i had to change the clutch and propshaft bearing/mounting on the 740 (hard to do with only one arm and one leg left!! ) now i need to build my race car, sort out the non existent brakes on the trailer, in between helping to sort out my mates new car after he parked his old one in a ditch,(to be raced now) all by march 28th, when the season starts.

aaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!

Back to heated rear windows,

My ES had a fault where if you pushed the rear heater switch the engine cut.
Turned out, someone had earched it to the ECU,

There is also a powersaving mode involved. If the ECU thinks that the car is not charging, then you can't turn on the heated rear window (eg. power saving)

An idear would be to take the lit of the box and start up your baby, then one of the relays in the top left corner should make connection when you switch it on.

good luck ;)

Does anyone have a picture or drawing of the interior of the CEM??
Would like to know what to look for in there.
