Windscreen washer pump - 480S 1993

Post by jab » Mon Nov 17, 2008 4:33 pm

I am looking to replace my front washer pump and have in the past used reconditioned parts. Am thinking of buying a new one from PartsforVolvoOnline. Has anyone used them before or can recommend another online parts dealer (other than Volvo maindealers).

Thanks for your help.

exactly what washer are you meaning the small washers that shove into the white washer bottle or the longer /bigger one

2nd hand they should only be £3 +postage for a small one and £5 +postage for a large one.

Can provide the above.

or buy from ovlov agent and you get pumped instead

thanks for your reply

it's the two small black pumps that sit under the washer bottle - i am assuming that this is why i only get a trickle of water from the jet (motor is working and i have cleaned the jets)

i have replaced these before and cured the problem

I bought a brand new one in the norwegian store Biltema. Cost me less than 8gbp (and remember, everything is more expensive over here).
Pretty much everything will work. My tube into the tank had a bit too small dimension, I just used some duct tape around it and forced it in, now it works like a charm!
Anything works.. no pressure in the tank or anything :)
