Evening all, My dash display is saying there's a door open, though they are all closed, also the courtessey light doesn't work when the drivers door is opened, so I'm guessing the switch/contact has failed, though on inspection I can't see where said device is
If someone could point me in the right direction twould be grand
Cheers
Robert

There is a switch positioned on the door latch, this is one of the items which should trigger your interior light.
The 'door open sign' is controlled by this switch (one in each door...)

When you say on the Latch, do you mean inside the locks?
As a sidenote, the light on the drivers side keyhole is always on too, not sure what controls that.

Well, don't know how else to say it, butt I'll try:
When you got the latch inside the door, on top of this latch is a little switch. You can try it out with a multi meter.
And when you're on it, also measure the microswitches at the 'keyhole'.
which year is your car?
