All the information you need on engine-problems is here. The engine includes the Turbo-charger, airco and everything else you'll find under the bonnet.

480 running and revving problems........

Post by asterix » Fri Jan 02, 2004 6:06 pm

Hi Guys -

Happy New Year!!!!!

A quick question as well.........

A friend of mine also has a 480 ES, and it has started giving strange problems.

Usually it starts and runs frine, but sometimes it coughs and won;t accelerate: also it will suddenly rev very high, splutter, and return to normal. It's very intermittent, and two garages have failed to find the problem.

He's replaced all ignition components except the coil, as well as the corrugated rubber trunking that goes from the air filter to the inlet manifold.

Any ideas much appreciated!!
