I just wondered if there was a 480R what engine would be in it?

I was thinking of 5-cylinder 2.0 with a turbo or perhaps even an early T4... :D

What would your best bet be?

I think Volvo would have taken a B20FT with +KIT.

Would have been a great engine !!!!! :cryhard:

No 5-cilinder or T-4,because they are newer ! and it would have been to expensive to build them into the 480 !

mind you this engine would have to fit on the existing subframe, between the frontwheels, under the narrow bonnet.

Normally i don't dream that much about "what could have been" it leads you nowhere. aldough it wouldf be nice to do so.

our carproject was murdered by the volvo executives. So no use thinking "what could have been" Maybe this "murder" was meant to be, because there was no sucsessor to the P1800 ES too.
