MBCs

Fitted my first MBC yesterday - Fnord wasn't confident in fitting the MBC he won at the UK meeting back in April, so as he was up for the weekend anyway, I fitted it for him and then we went out and drove around, tweaking it so it was just right

So if any turbo owners out there wanted one of the best first mods out there, but aren't happy with how to fit it, then feel free to come to my place and I'll fit it for you

- MBCs, as ever, are available from Dave DBS Slater

What is the website of DBS? I thought it was www.dbsmotorsport.co.uk I know his isp/host was being shitty so that don't work no-more.

did you test drive a combination of a Manual Boost Controller and a tuned EEprom ?

I have heard this is some what a double tuning of which effects fight eachother. ??

This was just a standard turbo which I added an MBC to. Regarding it affecting a chiptune - I guess that would only be the case if the chip was directly modyfying the overpressure solinoid release pressure (the thing that makes a standard turbo only able to run 7-8psi) - if the tuned chip is working on fuelmaps, then I don't see how an MBC would affect it in the least

And if any turbo owners are undecided about getting an MBC I can say it is well worth it.

More boost quicker in all gears, (especially 2-4). Although I'm now having to learn not to wheelspin out of traffic lights all over again !

The answer to that is to lower it and put 16" or 17" rims on

No wheelspins until your fronts get like slicks...
