they'll be most helpful, just as long as it doesn't involve electricity. And polished panels, glass, flashing lights, and small screws. Expect to receive a box containing the bits leftover, as per our Betamax video recorder.

....hmnnn as no-one has mentioned the idle problem...this is a common fault on our beloved 480's. If you clean out the idle valve in front of the engine this should help things a lot. The other reason could be dirty injectors but I would try the IV first.

This afternoon I got my new 480 :)
It idles around 900-950 rpm, is this normal? When I hit the gas, and let the rpm go up to 2000, it drops back to 600-700 after releasing the gas; then it goes up to 950 again.

That's what my 1.7 ES does to (B18E engine). Another 480 owner I've spoken to in the past about it (can't remember who!) has had luck fixing it by adjusting the throttle sensor/switch, but I've tried this with mine and, although I've managed to make it better, it's still not quite right. I've actually bought a new throttle sensor/switch to try replacing mine with, but haven't got round to fitting it yet.

480 = dodgy idle!!

Every one ive had has but it is vastly improved by keeping your idle valve/injectors/fuel filter clean.

Ive not heard much about the throttle switch causing this problem but I may be wrong.

In my case, I've already tried all of the above, so the throttle sensor switch is the next item on my list to try! :D
