my car keeps stalling. :badmood: it has loads of trouble starting up at all times of day. the engine even cuts out whilst im drivng along. ne1 know y?

its definetely not the spark coz thats been checked.

also when i do manage to start it, it sometimes 'hunts' when idling. could it be the fuel??

DOES NE1 KNOW WHAT THE ETC (ENGINE TEMPERATURE CONTROL) SWITCH DOES????

CHEERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Its the idler valve motor. Don't buy a new one, I "uncanned" it (mark the position of motor to valve!) and found it full of dust. clean, oil (thin sewing machine oil) and put contactspray on the drag contacts. New they are highly priced. second hand ones often have the same problem.

For a quick result it often helps to undo the upper hose and spray in WD40. (engine off)

to be complete : check if nowere vacuum escapes

If all is well the engine will run better in idle and doesn't stall so easy.

luck

PS : what town/country are U from ? Maybe i will solve it for you.

PS: there are links on the club member site (webspace from dragon) for manuals.. there is a lot more than yust the infocenter turnswitch....
luck,
