If it is 10W40 semi-synthetic it will be fine.

Does the filter have a non-return valve?

I think if you put your finger inside the hole on the bottom you should be able to feel a little spring loaded flap or something. Basically it stops the filter draining it's oil out when the engine isn't running. Cheap filters don't have this‎; the Volvo ones did so it's generally accepted that it's a good idea to fit an aftermarket one with this feature.

I believe either Mann or Mahle filters have this feature and are/were suppliers to Volvo. However, genuine oil filters are still available from Volvo - one of the few things you can still get!

Not unduly expensive and well worth it in my view to ensure you have that non-return valve - it means the engine gets its oil faster on start up and gets up to pressure more quickly, which is all good for reducing engine wear.

I always use genuine oil filters on the 480s.

I don't really know mate, sorry. A quick Google shows them as very cheap filters which Euro Car Parts slap a once-good name on to (Euro bought the name)

Hate to be the bearer of bad tidings but it is as James says - Crossland was once a good name, but the quality of their parts now is poor. I would be pretty certain that their oil filter will be the simplest and cheapest possible, and it won't have the non-return valve. :(

Obviously it is entirely a matter for you, - doubtless the Crossland filter will do the job, but how well and for how long I wouldn't like to say. I don't know your circumstances and don't want to make any assumptions about them, but personally I don't think the oil filter is something you want to scrimp on if you don't have to...

for tuppence i use MAHLE, have done for years, but I got caught with another make that didn't have the valve, red light always took a second to go out at start-up, so binned the filter
